This balm is formulated to moisturise, soothe and provide natural protection properties to your horse's hooves, including the sole and frog.

Beeswax is a natural emollient, seals in the hoof moisture and forms a breathable barrier.

Castor oil is an excellent emollient that penetrates deep into the hoof, protects it from becoming dry and reduces cracking or splitting.

Coconut oil has natural antibacterial properties which helps protect and moisturise the hoof. It prevents the hoof from becoming waterlogged in muddy or wet conditions as it is a natural water repellent. Waterlogged hooves can lead to a soft or crumbly hoof.

Citronella is a mild rubefacient that helps blood flow to the coronary band area and healthier horn growth. It is also an insect repellent. In summer, horses can stomp their feet constantly to get rid of flies. Keeping citronella in our unique balm keeps flies away from the lower legs and hoofs. Stomping on hard ground can result in chips, cracks and loose shoes.

Tea Tree is one of the most effective natural antiseptics, it helps to maintain a clean hoof environment.

Frankincense is the king of oils in equine care. It supports a healthy cell turnover, reducing micro cracks, strengthening the horn. It reduces internal inflammation by soothing sensitive laminae and soft tissues within the hoof capsule. It provides a mild analgesic (pain relieving) effect on horses with tender feet, including horses with thin soles or those recovering from laminitis.

Directions for use:

Apply to the hooves, sole and frog at least 3 times a week or when necessary dependent on weather conditions (dry or wet).
